The university eLearning experience is a venue for meaningful communication, teaching, and learning. Faculty and students alike can genuinely commit to a positive interactive collaboration resulting in an optimal teaching-learning process. This presentation addresses interactivity in the university eLearning environment and incorporates the research-based, user-friendly, four-step H.O.P.E. model that faculty can easily adapt to any academic content area. The four components central to the model include setting high expectations, organization, participation, and evaluation. The construct of interactivity accountability has never been more vital than in the eLearning environment. This construct calls for the mutual responsibility of faculty and students to create and maintain an optimal teaching-learning experience. The model serves as an effective paradigm to initiate professional discussion, foster dialogue and reflection, and improve the teaching and learning processes at the university level.
